Practitioner's Biographies

Beverly Tarbell, RN, MAOM, LicAc
holds a Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture. She is licensed through the Acupuncture Committee of the Board of Medicine in Massachusetts to practice both acupuncture and herbal medicine. In addition, Beverly holds a bachelors degree in nursing from Boston University. Having degrees in both eastern and western medicine gives Beverly a unique understanding of the human body and the ways in which it responds to various treatment modalities. Beverly is certified in and practices both Chinese, Japanese acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine and is well versed in Dr. Richard Tan's treatment strategies for pain. She continues post-graduate studies with the herbal master Dr. Tao Xie on a weekly basis. Beverly has been practicing Iyengar yoga for 8 years.
Robert Yauckoes, MAOM, LicAc
holds a Masters degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture, the oldest accredited institution for Chinese Medicine in the United States. He is licensed through the Acupuncture Committee of the Board of Registration in Medicine in Massachusetts to practice both acupuncture and herbal medicine. His training includes certification in traditional Chinese acupuncture, Japanese acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Robert's post-graduate training includes rare intensive apprenticeships in Japanese Meridian Therapy and Chinese Herbal Medicine with two renowned masters: Koei Kuwahara (founder of the Hari acupuncture system) and Dr. Tao Xie (Master Chinese Herbalist). Robert enhances his clinical skills through the practice of Qigong, meditation and martial arts. Robert is fluent in Spanish.
